Welcome

Thanks for visiting Remove Before Flight. This blog has been intended to cover anything about remote controlled models in particular flying ones such as helis and planes.

Like countless other rc blogs or websites, stuff that you may find (in the near future hopefully) on this blog are my inventory of course :), build tips, modifications, upgrades, general info, pic galleries, techniques and other stuff that I think are related to this blog.

Do bare with me as I try to update this blog as often as I could. Once again, thanks for visiting and see you at the field. Fly safe!

Roots of all evil

Despite not wanting to believe that the cause of my engine failures is by the most basic of all causes, I have yielded and have since bowed in acquiescence... ITS THE BLOODY FUEL LINE IN THE MAIN TANK FER GOD SAKES!!! It was like jelly and porous.

Should have checked it periodically even tho I followed forum' advices to throw away the stock and replace with a higher quality tubing (which I did). Conclusion: No tubing can withstand nitro methane's erosive nature..

I suffered 5 engine cut-off mid flight due to this. Damages sustained: scratched my SBs, destroyed my skids due to semi-auto (still learning). It couldve been worse tho.

Still awaiting my woodies from Rotor Hobby, no choice but to use my carbon pros

From my last order from Quick UK, curtis youngblood 2mm super stubz.. shwingzz

Some say they're the best.. curtis youngblood radix blades

and lastly, CopterX Black Angel fins.. lighter than my chunky v2 fins

Will tune fly it tomorrow.. no extreme moves.. wanna at least squeeze 20 flights before the next crash. Yeaa right.. as master ugwai said.. there are no accidents!!!

QUICK UK Pic of the Month

It is to my great chufness to inform you that, one of my rc helis, has been selected to be December picture of the month at Quick UK online shop website.. (http://www.quickuk.eu/html/index.html)

I uploaded my heli pics into my quick uk account last month and voila..

It is not conclusive whether only a few but I cant be the only person who uploaded pics of helis to their website hence limiting Quick UK's choices, so I challenge thee to get yours to become the next.. hehe..

So grab your cameras and start shooting..

Thanks to Duckster for taking the pic and for those who cant be bothered to view my Lumut Excursion post (same pic was posted there), here it is again...

Miss Brunei update

Parts from Quick UK arrived today...

Was stuck with meetings and briefings the whole day so Duckster was deployed to the post office to collect on my behalf...

22 items arrived.. 14 were mine

Well, a picture says a thousand words.. so here a few thousands..

Quick UK rudder servo horn for my BLS251..

Quick UK canopy mounting bolt...

Quick UK matching throttle arm set.. Opted for single arms since its not really critical to apply push and pull linkages

A pair YB 600 Stick Banger should improve..err.. stick banging moves i guess..

Bling2 some might say.. Quick UK header tank assembly.. Its alloy ok so should improve rigidity.. hehe

What is power without control.. tail control that is.. almost half the weight of my previous align blades but twice the stiffness...

Saving the best for last.. Miss Brunei gets a full service Thai massage.. Thaitrip canomod canopy.. lighter and sexier and blingier..

Thats all for now.. other parts are for my next project heli.. Watch this space!!! Signing out..
